House du Plooy
A Spec House designed for Lucas Du Plooy. The concept was to design two shed structures [that could in the end function separately] connected by a light glass box. The client did not want a foyer space so the external walkway to the house was designed to become the foyer or transition space into the house. The house is also stepped back from the street and gradually disassembles itself into a steel and glass box that opens onto the green park on the east of the site. Views were maximized to take advantage of this park on the east. Working drawings follow with the final plan form and design.
